IEC 60335-1 Certified Power Supplies

GlobTek offers a wide range of household use power supplies that comply with and are certified to meet IEC-60335-1. The International Standard 60335-1 covers the safety of electrical appliances for household and similar purposes with rated voltage not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. It includes electrical, mechanical, and thermal hazards and fire and radiation hazards.

IEC60335-1 standard applies to battery-operated appliances and other DC supplied appliances, as well as appliances not intended for common household use but may potentially be a source of danger to the public, such as appliances used by workers in the light industry and on farms. Examples include appliances for hairdressers, catering equipment, and cleaning appliances for commercial use.

This family features regulated output with very low ripple, built-in overcurrent, short circuit, and thermal protection as well as low leakage and high efficiency. The products are suitable for most applications requiring DC power. Common applications include medical devices, portable electronic devices, toilet sensors and actuation devices, home automation and control equipment, appliances, instruments, and as a power source for Li-Ion battery chargers.

These power supplies are beneficial for end systems aiming to achieve IEC 61558 certification, which covers the safety of transformers, reactors, power supply units, and similar products for supply voltages up to 1,100 V.
