Powering FPGAs with SIMPLE SWITCHER® LMZ3 Power Modules

This presentation will discuss FPGA Basics and Considerations such as: Voltage Accuracy, Tolerance Requirements, Sequencing Solutions, Power Estimation Tools, In-Rush Current Solutions, and Load Transients and Voltage Ripple. An overview of the LMZ3 Power Module family will follow FPGA basics, in which the features and specifications of LMZ3 devices will be highlighted. Following the LMZ3 Family overview will be some Xilinx and Altera reference designs, powered by LMZ3 devices. This presentation will conclude with information about TI’s various tools and resources.
