It provides an alternative to the LM2904 in low-voltage applications that are sensitive to cost. This op-amp is suitable for applications including large appliances, smoke detectors, and personal electronics. The LM2904 supplies exceptional performance at low voltage and offers low power consumption.

This device is stable at unity gain and does not have reverse phase in overdrive conditions. The design for electrostatic discharge (ESD) gives the LM2904 a human body model (HBM) specification for a minimum of 2 kV. The LM2904 is available in packages that have industry standards including SOIC, VSSOP, and TSSOP.
