Oval cores are a prime geometry for common-mode chokes to suppress generated noise from motor drives, power supplies, and other applications allowing for two cables to be run side-by-side. This oval design can also be used as a filter for inductive circuits to attenuate unwanted frequencies and improve power and signal quality.
